Dru Ruebush

Dru Ruebush is a native New Mexican who grew up in Silver City. Having sung in a cappella churches all his life, he studied voice at NMSU where he graduated with a degree in vocal performance and performed in far too any operas and musicals to mention.

After college, Dru moved to New York City to continue his training and had the great fortune of meeting famed acting teacher, Fred Kareman. Fred turned out to be the most influential teacher in Dru’s life, giving him a passion for his craft that continues to be his driving force to this day. After a brief stint in Las Cruces and a couple years in Silver City, Dru moved to Albuquerque to pursue his career as an actor.

Dru recently performed with Teatro Nuevo Mexico in this summer’s production of The Fence and has done extra work on several of Albuquerque’s big budget productions. Dru is a full-time artist, devoting himself to his art as an actor, a singer, a poet and an artist. He lives in the blossoming North Downtown with his beloved bullmastiff, Mac.
